Introducing Legacy’s CoQ10 supplement

For people who are serious about their fertility.

When we talk to clients about their semen analysis results and their fertility goals, this is one of the most common questions we get: “How can I improve my fertility on my own?” There are a few different ways that you can improve your sperm health, and many rely on your lifestyle: exercise, diet, sleep, and even how often you soak in a hot bath can all impact your fertility. Now, supplementation with CoQ10 — an antioxidant that may boost sperm concentration, motility, and morphology — can join your fertility health plan.

Why CoQ10 for male fertility?

Coenzyme Q10 or “CoQ10” is an antioxidant. Antioxidants protect the body’s cells against free radicals, unstable molecules produced as natural byproducts of daily life, such as toxin exposure, illness, and poor lifestyle.

If left unchecked, free radicals can cause damage to our cells. This damage is known as “oxidative stress,” and can be detrimental to the health of your sperm. Oxidative stress can affect sperm production, lowering sperm count, motility (how many sperm are swimming properly), morphology (how many sperm are the proper size and shape), and genetic health (as measured by sperm DNA fragmentation).

Male fertility is responsible for approximately half of all cases of infertility, and oxidative stress is a major contributor to male fertility issues. Antioxidants such as CoQ10 neutralize free radicals and prevent oxidative stress damage. That’s why CoQ10 may support the production of healthy sperm.

Why Legacy’s CoQ10 supplement?

Legacy’s new CoQ10 supplement is a science-backed solution from the male fertility team you trust, designed to enhance sperm health.

Legacy’s CoQ10 is packed with 100mg of high-absorption CoQ10 antioxidants. Our softgels are small and easy to swallow, with no smell or aftertaste. They’re free of gluten, dairy, soy, fish, preservatives, genetically modified ingredients, or artificial colors or flavors, and are delivered in plastic-free glass and metal packaging. (Plastic contains BPAs, phthalates, and other chemicals that are known to harm fertility.)

We’re proponents of evidence-based care. Not everyone will need CoQ10 to improve their sperm health! Before you try a supplement to improve your fertility, you should understand where your sperm health is right now. That’s why our CoQ10 is only available to Legacy clients who have already completed a semen analysis. Order an at-home semen analysis.

The science behind CoQ10 for male fertility

There are lots of male fertility supplements on the market today. It can be difficult to understand which are backed by scientific research, and which are ineffective.

In comparison to other male fertility supplements, there is a good level of evidence supporting the potential benefit of CoQ10 for sperm health. Multiple, repeated studies have demonstrated that taking 100–300mg of CoQ10 daily for 3–6 months is associated with a measurable increase in sperm concentration (how many sperm are in your semen), sperm motility (how well those sperm are “swimming”), and sperm morphology (how many of your sperm are the proper shape and size).

CoQ10 has very few potential side effects, and may also enhance heart health, brain health, and overall wellness. Learn more about CoQ10.
