Legacy wins gold at the MassChallenge Competition in Boston; top among 125 startups

The 10th cohort of MassChallenge accelerator program in Boston pitted 125 hopeful startups against each other for a chance to win a cash prize with zero equity. Legacy struck gold winning in the healthcare and life sciences category, and took home $50K in cash. Legacy triumphed over the competition with its innovative concept of disrupting men’s fertility, but ultimately won over the judges with the company’s brand as a fatherhood planning resource.

The company’s competitive advantage was not only centered around its ability to address an underserved niche, but also Legacy’s ability to bring male fertility to the forefront of the conversation around men’s health. Legacy founder and CEO, Khaled Kteily, remains steadfast in the companies social mission of creating an equitable future when it comes to family planning. “We at Legacy believe that sperm testing should be a routine part of men’s health,” said Kteily. The award recognition and the funds will help further Legacy’s continued growth and expand the company services to healthcare providers. “The competition was qualified but, our company’s unique service and mission is unmatched,”said Kteily.
