Legacy CEO, Khaled Kteily to speak at SXSW 2020

Legacy is excited to announce that founder and CEO, Khaled Kteily will be joining the speaker lineup at the 2020 SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. Khaled will join the Head Of Government Affairs at the World Economic Forum, Nima Elmi to discuss Male Fertility: The Hidden Sperm Crisis.

Raising awareness around the male fertility crisis is one of the pillars driving Legacy’s mission as a business. With 1 in 7 couples affected by infertility, Legacy is not only committed to educating the broader consumer base, but demystifying infertility as more than just a woman’s health issue. An alarming 50% decline in sperm count in the last four decades has propelled the Legacy team to help men reimagine their reproductive health in a proactive way, normalizing sperm analysis and freezing. “We are honored to be invited to speak at SXSW, a stage where many innovative and thought provoking ideas are introduced to the mainstream,” said Kteily.

Male fertility is often an afterthought when it comes to planning for the future, a hesitation that Legacy is determined to change. “Sperm testing and analysis should be as routine as getting a vaccine, but in the cultural landscape we live in today it’s often the last resort,” said Kteily.  “At Legacy we want to change the way people think of achieving fatherhood.”
